DescriptionMechanical Installer | Tools & Installation Experience | $56K–$65K

Indianapolis, IN | Full-Time | Monday–Friday

If you're the person who can look at an installation, grab your tools, figure out how everything needs to come together, and get the job done—we want to talk to you.

Auto-Chlor System is hiring a Mechanical Installer to install commercial dishwashing equipment for restaurants and commercial kitchens throughout Indianapolis.

We're not looking for someone who has installed commercial dishwashers before.

We're looking for someone who already knows how to install things.

The Job

After a new customer joins Auto-Chlor, you'll be responsible for physically installing their commercial dishwashing equipment.

Depending on the location, you may work with smaller equipment or larger commercial machines with additional components and conveyor systems.

You'll:

  • Complete equipment installations from start to finish
  • Measure, assemble, connect, adjust, and secure equipment
  • Use hand and power tools daily
  • Work with mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical components
  • Troubleshoot problems that come up during an installation
  • Test your work before leaving the customer location
  • Work independently and take ownership of your installations
  • Communicate directly with customers
  • Show restaurant staff how to operate and care for their new equipment
The Background We're Looking For

We're open to different trades.

You may have experience in:

  • Mechanical equipment installation
  • Appliance installation
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Fabrication
  • Carpentry or construction installation
  • Electrical/mechanical installation
  • Field service
  • Automotive, diesel, or machinery repair
  • Commercial or residential installation

Your exact job title isn't the deciding factor.

Your hands-on experience is.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate that they've personally installed, built, connected, repaired, fabricated, maintained, or troubleshot equipment or mechanical systems.

Simply being around tools isn't enough—you should already be comfortable using them to solve problems.

You'll Do Well Here If You:
  • Enjoy hands-on mechanical work
  • Take pride in the finished product
  • Can troubleshoot instead of waiting for someone else to solve the problem
  • Are comfortable being the person responsible for the installation
  • Can work independently
  • Can communicate comfortably with customers
  • Don't mind working in different customer environments from day to day
Pay & Schedule

$56,000–$65,000 first-year earnings, including overtime and on-call pay

  • Monday–Friday
  • 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • On-call rotation approximately every 7–8 weeks
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and AD&D insurance
  • 401(k) with profit sharing
  • Paid holidays
  • Up to 80 hours of vacation in your first year
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
Requirements
  • Previous professional hands-on installation, mechanical, repair, maintenance, or trade experience
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools independently
  • Mechanical troubleshooting/problem-solving ability
  • Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years
  • Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working directly with customers
  • You already know how to work with your hands. We'll teach you how to work on our machines.
