Aurora Insight Psychological Services is searching for dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselors who hold licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our vibrant team. This is a full-time remote position, allowing you to provide essential mental health services from the comfort of your own home while helping clients navigate their mental health journeys. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions via telehealth, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to address a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at promoting their holistic well-being and aiding recovery; adapt these plans as clients’ needs evolve.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety while employing de-escalation strategies and connecting them with additional resources if necessary.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines, ensuring that all documentation is completed promptly and accurately.
  • Work within interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support to clients; engage in case discussions and care coordination to integrate services effectively.
  • Stay current with the latest trends, research findings, and therapeutic practices in mental health, participating in continued education and training opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults and families, each facing unique mental health challenges that require tailored therapeutic approaches. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for fostering a safe space where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and work toward meaningful change. You will need to be culturally competent, recognizing and addressing diverse backgrounds and life experiences within your counseling practice.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure in Oregon as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT, or eligibility for licensure in the state.
  • Proven experience providing individual and group counseling services, demonstrating effectiveness in various therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
  • Commitment to cultural competence, demonstrating respect and understanding for clients of all backgrounds.
  • Adept at both independent work and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in teletherapy, with familiarity navigating the unique challenges and advantages it provides.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices specific to specialized populations, such as trauma-informed care.
  • Prior involvement in developing community programs or workshops focusing on mental health awareness and education.
