Our digital infrastructure supports teletherapy and ensures thorough documentation and communication with clients, allowing for consistent and high-quality care. Working at Aurora, you will be surrounded by a team of skilled healthcare professionals committed to making a positive impact within the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs. Use diagnostic tools and clinical interviews to understand each individual's unique challenges.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable therapeutic goals to guide the course of therapy.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques in individual therapy sessions aimed at promoting personal growth and emotional well-being, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
  • Provide teletherapy sessions for clients who may have mobility issues or prefer remote consultations, ensuring accessibility to all.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through trainings, workshops, and conferences to enhance your clinical skills and stay aligned with current best practices in the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will benefit a diverse array of clients from various backgrounds, including individuals, couples, and families facing emotional and relational challenges. You will serve clients across different age groups and socioeconomic statuses, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, family conflicts, and trauma. Your ability to connect with culturally diverse populations will be crucial in providing effective therapy and promoting mental health equity.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field is required.
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in New York, or eligibility for licensure in the state.
  • Demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse populations is essential to ensure our services are inclusive and effective.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in teletherapy is preferred, with a strong familiarity with video conferencing platforms and virtual client interactions.
  • Previous experience in a community health setting or clinic will be highly advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and 7 paid holidays per year to support work-life balance.
  • Flexible work hours to accommodate personal commitments and client needs.
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment that prioritizes employee well-being and career growth.
