Job description

Atlas is looking for a Certified Weld Inspector for full time inspections on large data center projects. The ideal candidate will have an active CWI as well as NDT certifications.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform field testing and inspection of construction materials and activities and accurately record test results and daily field observations
  • Perform all job functions within Atlas safety guidelines
  • Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
  • Reasoning, mathematical and language skills (read, write and speak acceptable business English)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 70 lbs., stop, bend and stand throughout the course of up to a 12-hour workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain
  • Valid Driver’s license with good driving record required
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) a plus
  • Experience in Construction Quality Assurance is a must
  • Ability to travel as necessary for job related duties
  • Ability to pass criminal background checks
  • Current AWS CWI

Minimum requirements:

  • Willingness to travel for long periods throughout the midwestern United States.
  • Current Certified Weld Inspector
  • NDT Level II in Ultrasonic Testing preferred

Technical requirements:

  • Active CWI
  • Basic computer skills
  • Thorough knowledge of plan reading

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Ability to travel for long term assignments throughout the Midwest

Compensation:
$30.00 - $35.00 hourly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
