Job description

Job Description
Conducts behavioral health evaluations to determine most appropriate treatment for adult patients starting at age 18 years, who have graduated high school and older.
1. Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments for patients seeking acute behavioral health services to determine need for treatment of behavioral issues.
2. Complete and analyze evidenced based screening tools and assessments.
3. Provides individual and group counseling for patients.
4. Along with patientcare, develop treatment plans, including clear problem statement, treatment goal(s), with measurable, relevant objectives for a range of behavioral health concerns.
5. Manage caseloads comprised of moderate to high acuity patients.
6. Able to conduct multiple psycho-educational, therapeutic and skills groups and individual therapy services.
7. Collaborate with other mental health and educational professionals to coordinate care.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation records.
9. Work within a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
10. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current on best practices in the field of behavioral health.
11. Complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned.
Qualifications
Required -
  1. Master's degree in social work, Psychology or Counseling
  2. LSW Required. LCSW or LPC license highly pref.
  3. Previous higher level of care clinical/counseling experience with adult population
  4. Bilingual a plus

Competencies -
  1. Demonstrates ability to conduct biopsychosocial assessments, screens effectively for suicide and violence risk as well as abuse and neglect.
  2. Training and experience in Didactic Behavioral and/or Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy preferred.
  3. Ability to multi - task, organize & prioritize workload required.
  4. Ability to work within a team as well as independently to make complex decision making with high degree of accuracy.
  5. Develops individualized treatment plans with measurable, patient centered goals, utilizes evidence based therapeutic approaches appropriate to the presenting problem(s).
  6. Can build rapport and trust quickly with a range of patients, uses active listening skills, reflective statements and nonjudgemental language, conveys understanding and acceptance without reinforcing maladaptive behaviors.
  7. Maintains clear, timely and accurate clinical notes that meet legal and departmental standards, manages caseload effectively.
