Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Mailroom Assistant to support our daily distribution and logistics operations. In this role, you will assist with the efficient sorting, processing, and handling of incoming and outgoing mail and materials. This is an ideal position for someone looking for steady, flexible weekly hours in an active production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and batch daily mail, packages, and printed materials.
• Support inserting, labeling, and mailing equipment operations as directed.
• Prepare outbound packages and mailings for postal or courier pickup.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and staging areas within the mailroom.
• Help track inventory of mailing supplies (envelopes, trays, labels, packing materials).
• Perform basic record-keeping and general administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow multi-step instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate organizational skills.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift/move postal trays or boxes up to 30–40 lbs.
• Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
• Prior mailroom, bindery, or distribution experience is a plus, but not required.

Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 4 hours per week, up to 10 hours per week depending on volume.
• Pay Rate: $17/hr
• Schedule: Flexible day shifts based on weekly volume.
