Work Environment

This position is located onsite in our modern Early Intervention Center in Fresno. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough assessments to evaluate each patient’s physical, cognitive, and emotional capacities, devising individual treatment plans based on those assessments.
  • Implement therapeutic techniques including sensory integration therapy, cognitive training, and skill development to enhance patients' fine motor skills and daily living activities.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and document progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery trajectories.
  • Engage with patients and their families, providing education on home-based exercises and strategies to foster independence in daily activities.
  • Maintain collaboration and communication with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each patient's long-term care.
  • Assist in training and guiding support staff in relevant occupational therapy best practices.
  • Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy methodologies and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will encompass a diverse patient demographic, including children with developmental disorders, adults recovering from orthopedic injuries, and elderly patients needing assistance in ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). You will develop tailored interventions to accommodate various physical and cognitive disabilities, enhancing each patient's skills and improving their overall functionality in their home and community environments.

Qualifications
  • A valid Occupational Therapist (OT) License in California.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with various patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software.
  • CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • Strong skills in developing personalized therapy programs and adapting strategies to meet individual patient needs.
