<\/p>

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs high\-complexity testing and provides scientific support to ensure accurate, reliable toxicology results in accordance with <\/span>CLIA Subpart M<\/span>, Montana licensure requirements, and accreditation standards (COLA\/CAP). The CLS contributes to method verification, quality assessment, corrective actions, and training within the toxicology laboratory.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations<\/span>

<\/p>

High\-Complexity Testing & Analytical Interpretation (~35%)<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/p>\n

• Perform, interpret, and validate <\/span>clinical toxicology<\/span> <\/span>assays including LC\/MS testing.
  <\/li>\n
• Ensure analytic accuracy, precision, and adherence to method performance specifications.
  <\/li>\n <\/ul>

  
  <\/p>

  Quality Control, Proficiency Testing & Compliance Oversight (~30%)<\/span>
  <\/p>

  
  <\/p>\n

  • Review QC, calibration results, maintenance logs, and PT performance.
    <\/li>\n
  • Implement and document corrective actions for deviations per <\/span>42 CFR 493.1281-1289.<\/span>
    <\/li>\n
  • Maintain readiness for CLIA inspections and accreditation audits.
    <\/li>\n <\/ul>

    Method Verification, Validation & Scientific Support (~20%)<\/span>

    • Participate in method evaluation studies (accuracy, precision, reportable range).
      <\/li>\n
    • Assist in reagent lot qualifications and parallel testing studies.
      <\/li>\n <\/ul>

      Training, Communication & Workflow Coordination (~10%)<\/span>
      <\/p>

      
      <\/p>\n

      • Provide technical guidance and training to CLTs and new CLS staff.
        <\/li>\n
      • Support SOP revision and documentation processes.

        • Must be <\/span>legally authorized to work in the United States<\/b>; Indigenuity does <\/span>not <\/span><\/b>sponsor visas.

        • Bachelor's degree in laboratory science, medical technology, chemistry, or biology AND <\/span>four (4) years<\/b> <\/span>of high\-complexity testing experience (per 42 CFR 493.1491<\/b>).
          <\/li>\n
        • Montana CLS licensure (or eligibility).
          <\/li>\n <\/ul>
