Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and grounds maintenance. Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
What To Expect:
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record
  • Be flexible with hours and days worked as needed.
  • Deep Knowledge and understanding of AMI behaviors, practice them, train others, and promote it;
  • Make decisions based on data to support KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost;
  • Cooperate with all other departments so the plant meets all safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPI's
  • Machine relocation
  • Repair broken restroom fixtures
  • Painting duties as required
  • Utilize 5S
  • Perform weekly maintenance on air compressors
  • Assemble miscellaneous rack, shelves and other equipment as needed.
  • Miscellaneous repairs as required
  • Change air filters located on office HVAC units monthly.
  • Maintain evaporative coolers on roof.
  • Clean up trash in all landscaped areas.
  • Conform to site health and safety procedures as appropriate.
  • Must be cordial, helpful and positive to all production & shipping employees
  • Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:
  • Must understand spoken and written English
  • Hands-on qualified technician that is multi-skilled in both mechanical and electrical.
  • Comfortable working within a shift structure system.
  • Strong team working capabilities.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to frequently work at various heights
  • Must have HS Diploma or GED

Work Environment:
The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical fitness to include movements, positioning, remaining stationary which include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing). Frequent use of company communication devices is required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.
