Job description

About the Role:
Join our team as a PT Chef at Assisted Living Center Inc, where you will create delicious and nutritious meals for our 30 residents. This part-time position offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our community, working 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook balanced meals that cater to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Plan weekly menus in collaboration with dietary staff and residents
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Engage with residents to understand their meal preferences
  • Provide exceptional service and a warm dining experience
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Food safety certification is a plus
  • Passion for cooking and serving the elderly community
