If turning schematics into reliable products is your craft, this role in Lockport, IL was made for you. You’ll work in a spotless, climate‑controlled environment assembling and verifying electro‑mechanical builds used in advanced industrial applications—where your steady hands and sharp eye make all the difference.

What Will You Tackle?
  • Transform engineering drawings and work instructions into completed assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Execute precise SMT and through‑hole soldering, including fine‑pitch under magnification.
  • Fabricate and quality‑check cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
  • Read and apply schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly docs.
  • Run visual checks and basic functional tests to validate performance.
  • Escalate quality issues and suggest process tweaks that raise the bar.
  • Document production output and quality metrics accurately.
  • Follow safety rules and standardized manufacturing methods.
  • Keep your bench neat and tools organized.
  • Team up with production, quality, and engineering to meet deadlines and targets.
Must‑Haves
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years in electro‑mechanical assembly.
  • Advanced soldering skill set (fine‑pitch, microscope work).
  • Experience with both SMT and through‑hole techniques.
  • Comfortable reading schematics/blueprints/technical docs.
  • Uncompromising attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Strong communicator and collaborative teammate.
Nice to Have
  • Technical school, vocational program, or military electronics background.
  • IPC‑A‑610 and/or IPC J‑STD‑001 certifications.
  • Hands‑on work with wire harness and cable builds.
  • Electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Time spent in ISO‑regulated environments.
  • Comfort with test equipment and inspection tools.
