Job description

Job Summary Ashbrook Independent School is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and creative Substitute Teachers. Major Duties and Responsibilities Substitute Teachers will:Deliver instruction to students as designed by the classroom teacher's lesson plans. Develop or create lessons based on curriculum materials when needed.Maintain a positive and caring classroom environment favorable to learning; Supervise and ensure the safety and health of children in the classroom.Collaborate with staff throughout the school.Communicate proactively and positively with parents as needed.Perform other related duties as required.Qualifications:Knowledge and experience with teaching elementary and/or middle school students.Strong written and oral communication skills.Bachelor's degree or higher in teacher educationPREFERRED: Professional teacher licensure in good standing and that is transferable to the State of Oregon.Compensation:Hourly wage rate of $21.00 per hourYour application should include a current resume and cover letter.Applications will be screened year round.The cover letter should clearly articulate how you meet the qualifications of the position
