) Wound Nurse- LPN or RN
Job Summary:
Ascent Healthcare Management is seeking compassionate and skilled Wound Nurses to join our teams in our Asheville locations. We have both full time and part time jobs available.
As a Wound Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality wound care to patients with acute and chronic wounds, collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities:
• Assess patients with acute and chronic wounds, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to achieve optimal wound healing outcomes
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques, including dressing changes, wound cleansing, and pressure redistribution
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate wound care services, ensuring seamless transitions and comprehensive care
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes, participating in quality improvement initiatives to improve wound care outcomes
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting a culture of empathy and respect
• Stay current with evidence-based wound care practices, participating in education and training opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills
Requirements:
  • Current LPN or RN license
  • Skilled Nursing experience preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in wound care preferred, with a strong desire to develop your skills in this specialty
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to lift and move patients, as well as equipment and supplies, with or without assistance
