Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will work directly with neuro-diverse children in community settings, implementing behavior intervention plans designed to improve their social and communication skills. As an RBT, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients in achieving their goals through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and support.

Hours of work would generally be during school hours (between 9am-3pm), Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Assist clients in developing essential skills through structured behavioral therapy sessions.
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment adjustments.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide support and guidance on care plans.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, including notes on client responses and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience or training in applied behavior analysis is preferred.
  • Background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special education is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to assist clients empathetically and effectively.
  • Ability to collect data accurately and analyze behavioral patterns for effective intervention planning.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is required
