Job Overview:
Seeking a Quality Technician to support documentation, process verification, and final acceptance testing of loitering munition systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in safe testing and troubleshooting of electronics and electro-mechanical systems while maintaining traceability to AS9100 and government requirements.
This role reports to the Quality Manager and is primarily responsible for quality assurance, acceptance testing, and executing rework activities to ensure systems meet operational, performance, and compliance standards before deployment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months of experience in procedural product evaluation, acceptance testing, or equivalent
- Experience supporting military-grade systems, aerospace products, or defense technologies
- Associate's or Technical degree in a related technical field, or 24 months of equivalent hands-on experience
- Understanding of testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with test software and associated testing equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex systems
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and GD&T engineering drawings
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety standards
- Ability to travel approximately 25% (Washignton DC area and SC for training)
- Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain one for potential international travel
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with proprietary test software and associated equipment
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret test data to confirm system compliance and reliability
- Conduct hands-on testing of electronic, mechanical, and integrated subsystems
- Document test results, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions in a traceable manner
- Maintain detailed records including serialization and traceability documentation
- Maintain practical and theoretical knowledge of company systems and partner technologies
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and collaborate with cross-functional teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, military standards, and environmental guidelines during testing
- Support quality assurance, final acceptance testing, and rework execution
- Travel to Stafford, VA for initial and ongoing training
- Occasionally travel to vendors, partner production sites, SAIC in South Carolina, and potentially Israel for training
Additional Position Details:
- Approximately three weeks of initial training in DC area after hire
- Frequent travel to DC during the onboarding period, tapering over time
- 4/10 schedule (MondayโThursday, 10-hour shifts)
