Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Engineer with 1–3 years of technical experience to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in bridging our on-premises virtualization infrastructure and cloud environments. You will work to automate deployments, ensure infrastructure reliability, maintain robust observability, and support our ongoing compliance efforts. This is an ideal position for a junior-to-mid-level engineer looking to deepen their skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), modern CI/CD patterns, and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain our hybrid infrastructure, balancing cloud workloads in AWS with on-premises virtualized environments via Proxmox VE.
- CI/CD & Automation: Build, optimize, and maintain automated deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions to support rapid, secure software delivery.
- Identity & Access Control: Administer and audit secure access controls across systems using Microsoft Entra ID and AWS Identity Center.
- Observability & Incident Response: Deploy, configure, and maintain unified logging and monitoring stacks; actively participate in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident remediation.
- Compliance & Security: Support the execution and maintenance of technical security controls required for SOC 2 compliance.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work cross-functionally with QA, Engineering, and Security teams to align infrastructure with operational needs. Author and maintain high-quality internal documentation for configurations, runbooks, and architectures.
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or Engineering discipline.
- Experience: 1–3 years of technical experience in Cloud, Systems, DevOps, or technical QA environments.
- Programming/Scripting: Functional ability in at least one backend or scripting language
- (e.g., Python, Go, C).
- Core Fundamentals:
- -Solid grasp of foundational networking protocols (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP).
- -Strong Linux system administration basics (Systemd, Bash, basic debugging,
- shell utilities).
- -Familiarity with foundational DevOps principles: Version Control (Git), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and core security mechanics (Encryption, Authentication / Authorization).
- -Baseline exposure to at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- Hands-on experience with Proxmox VE or similar Type-1 hypervisors
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
