Construction Foreman

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Foreman to lead field crews and assist with daily construction operations. This is a working foreman position—we are looking for someone who is willing to lead from the front, operate equipment, drive trucks, and work alongside the crew when needed. MUST HAVE A CLASS A CDL.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in underground utility/site construction, grading, concrete, asphalt, and heavy equipment operation. Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of managing a crew while maintaining productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise construction crews on daily field operations
  • Coordinate daily work activities, equipment, materials, and manpower
  • Read plans, understand elevations, and properly shoot and establish grade
  • Perform and oversee general grading and site work
  • Install and repair stormwater, drainage, water, sewer, and other piping systems
  • Perform excavation, trenching, pipe installation, backfilling, and compaction
  • Perform and supervise concrete work, including forming, placement, and finishing
  • Perform and supervise asphalt removal, preparation, placement, and repairs
  • Safely operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers, compactors, and other heavy equipment
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools
  • Drive company trucks, including dump trucks and equipment trailers
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials
  • Maintain proper grades, slopes, elevations, and finished surfaces
  • Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs
  • Communicate job progress, material needs, problems, and schedule concerns to management
  • Maintain crew productivity while ensuring quality workmanship
  • Work alongside the crew whenever necessary to complete the job

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL – Required

  • Previous construction foreman or crew-lead experience
  • Strong experience shooting grade and working from elevations
  • Experience with pipe installation and underground utility work
  • Experience with asphalt and concrete construction/repairs
  • Experience with general excavation, grading, backfilling, and compaction
  • Experience operating heavy construction equipment
  • Ability to safely use power tools and construction equipment
  • Ability to drive trucks and tow equipment trailers
  • Ability to read construction plans and understand grades, slopes, and elevations
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety
  • Ability to effectively lead and communicate with field crews
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

What We Are Looking For

This position is for a working foreman, not someone who only wants to supervise. The right candidate must be willing to drive, operate equipment, perform physical construction work, and work alongside the crew.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their projects, keeps crews productive, takes care of company equipment, and understands what it takes to get construction work completed safely, efficiently, and correctly.

Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in Florida conditions and performing physically demanding construction work.

Class A CDL and dump truck driving experience are mandatory.
