Detox Facility Resident Technician

Job Summary:

Armada Recovery is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Technician to join our clinical team. As a Resident Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our organization. This is a full-time position located in Akron, Ohio.

About the Role:

We're committed to providing a supportive and personalized recovery experience for our clients. Our team is passionate about helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve long-term sobriety. As a Resident Technician, you will be an integral part of this mission, providing empathetic listening and support to our clients, as well as assisting the clinical team in managing the unit and coordinating patient activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the clinical team in managing the unit, coordinating patient activities, and providing empathetic listening and support
• Provide patient navigation and support, including providing orientation, escorting patients to groups and activities, and monitoring patient movement
• Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
• Collaborate with clinical and medical providers to deliver comprehensive treatment
• Complete documentation and reports as required
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to client care and documentation

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1-2 years of experience working in a therapeutic or support role with individuals experiencing substance use disorders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to complete clinical documentation in an electronic medical record
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Crisis management and de-escalation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a detox or treatment facility

Computer Skills:

• Ability to use Microsoft Word at an intermediate level
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel at a beginner level
• Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint at a beginner level
