Job description

Arlyn Recruiting is partnering with a leading professional services organization to recruit a Learning Specialist for its Vancouver office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced learning and development professional who enjoys designing engaging training programs, facilitating both in-person and virtual learning sessions, and supporting technology adoption across a dynamic organization.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering learning initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, and creating innovative training resources that support employee growth and business objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
  • Facilitate technology-focused onboarding programs for new employees.
  • Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training workshops.
  • Support technology rollouts and system upgrades through targeted training initiatives.
  • Provide customized training tailored to departmental and team needs.
  • Deliver a variety of learning formats, including classroom, virtual, and blended learning experiences.
Learning Design & Development
  • Identify training needs and learning opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop effective learning solutions.
  • Create training materials such as job aids, user guides, videos, e-learning modules, and other digital learning resources.
  • Maintain and update existing learning materials and training content.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate feedback into future learning initiatives.
Program Administration
  • Coordinate training schedules, workshops, onboarding sessions, and organization-wide learning initiatives.
  • Maintain attendance records, course information, evaluation data, and learning plans.
  • Support ongoing administration of learning and development programs.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills for both virtual and in-person environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Education & Experience
  • Certificate, diploma, or specialization in Adult Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in learning and development, corporate training, instructional design, or a related role.
  • Experience managing the full learning lifecycle, including needs assessment, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience within a professional services environment is considered an asset.
