Rob Sand For Iowa Governor: Social Media Manager

Rob Sand's campaign for Governor of Iowa is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to lead our digital presence across platforms. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing content that tells Rob's story, engages voters, and builds a strong online community across Iowa. This position requires strong writing skills, a deep understanding of social media trends, and the ability to translate campaign priorities into compelling, shareable content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage daily content for campaign social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, etc.).
  • Develop and execute a digital content calendar aligned with campaign priorities and events.
  • Monitor social media conversations, respond to comments, and engage with supporters to build community.
  • Track performance metrics and adjust strategies for growth and engagement.
  • Work closely with the communications and field teams to amplify campaign messaging and mobilize supporters.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing social media for a campaign, nonprofit, or brand.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Iowa's political landscape and progressive issues preferred.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced campaign environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools, paid media, and emerging platforms is a plus.
