Job Description

BIM Manager / Design Technology Leader

Step into a pivotal architecture technology role where your BIM expertise directly strengthens project delivery, team performance, and design quality. As the BIM Manager, you will lead firmwide BIM standards, workflows, platforms, and training programs while supporting architectural teams with practical, reliable, and forward-thinking design technology solutions in Dallas.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced architecture professional who can balance strategy with execution. The right candidate will bring deep Revit knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to create systems that improve consistency, reduce friction, and help project teams deliver excellent work.

Why You Should Apply to be the BIM Manager

  • Play a high-impact role advancing BIM strategy, standards, and design technology across an architecture practice.
  • Lead practical improvements that make project teams more efficient, consistent, and confident.
  • Own the development of templates, documentation systems, content libraries, and workflows.
  • Serve as a trusted internal educator, trainer, and troubleshooting resource.
  • Work in a hybrid architecture environment with meaningful collaboration across teams.
  • Help shape how BIM tools evolve alongside project needs, software updates, and industry best practices.
  • Build a stronger design technology ecosystem for architectural teams in Dallas.

What You’ll Be Doing as the BIM Manager

  • Establish, build, maintain, and evolve firmwide BIM standards, Revit templates, content libraries, and documentation workflows.
  • Create practical systems that improve consistency, quality, and alignment across architectural projects.
  • Lead onboarding and training programs related to BIM tools, Revit workflows, cloud collaboration, and project delivery standards.
  • Provide real-time support, troubleshooting, coaching, and technical guidance to project teams.
  • Advise teams on modeling strategies, BIM best practices, tool utilization, and advanced Revit workflows.
  • Administer BIM-related platforms, including project setup, user access, system organization, and cloud-based collaboration environments.
  • Maintain and upgrade BIM content, templates, and standards in response to software updates, code cycles, and changing project requirements.
  • Partner with software providers and internal leaders to ensure design technology tools are implemented and supported effectively.
  • Evaluate current workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, coordination, documentation quality, and team performance.
  • Stay current on emerging BIM technologies, design technology trends, and architecture industry innovation.
  • Support teams working in Dallas while helping create scalable standards that can be applied across multiple projects and offices.

About You as the BIM Manager

  • You have demonstrated experience working in an architecture firm and understand how BIM supports project delivery.
  • You bring advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Autodesk collaboration platforms.
  • You have experience developing and managing BIM standards, templates, workflows, and content libraries in a professional architectural environment.
  • You are comfortable teaching, coaching, troubleshooting, and supporting teams with varying levels of technical experience.
  • You can translate complex technical requirements into practical tools, clear standards, and accessible training.
  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with confidence.
  • You are comfortable taking ownership of both strategy and execution.
  • You bring a continuous improvement mindset and enjoy identifying better ways for teams to work.
  • You have a professional degree in Architecture.
  • You bring a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience within an architectural environment.
  • Architectural licensure or progress toward licensure is strongly preferred.
  • You are prepared to commute to a local office three days per week, with additional office visits as needed.
