The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing applications and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production software and hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new applications and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing applications and procedures.
• Configure and optimize manufacturing software to meet production requirements.
• Conduct training for end-users on new and existing manufacturing applications.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of new manufacturing technologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering or technical sales support within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical solutions to complex customer challenges.
• Ability to travel to customer sites for demonstrations, training, and technical support.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specific CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Mastercam) relevant to the manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems (PLCs, robotics, SCADA).
• Knowledge of manufacturing process simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim).
• Certifications in relevant engineering disciplines or software applications.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau) for manufacturing data.
