Transmission Removal Technician

We are currently looking for a dependable and motivated Transmission Removal Technician, also commonly known in the industry as an “R&R Guy” (Remove & Replace Technician), to join our team. This position involves removing and reinstalling transmissions and related drivetrain components on a variety of vehicles in a busy transmission and automotive repair shop.

Applicants with prior automotive repair experience are preferred. Experience with transmission removal, general mechanic work, suspension work, or drivetrain repairs is a strong plus, but we are willing to consider individuals with solid mechanical ability and a good work ethic.

Responsibilities include:

• Removing and reinstalling transmissions and related components
• Assisting with drivetrain and mechanical repairs
• Keeping work areas clean and organized
• Following shop safety procedures
• Working efficiently with the team to keep jobs moving

What we’re looking for:

• Automotive repair experience preferred
• Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment safely
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to lift heavy parts and work in a fast-paced environment

Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We’re a smaller shop with a laid-back but professional atmosphere, and we do have two small shop dogs that are around daily, so applicants should be comfortable with dogs in the workplace.
