Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements that can adapt to your lifestyle. While the majority of your work may be conducted from home, you will occasionally visit our clinic in New Kensington for team meetings, collaborative sessions, and client care when necessary. Our team operates from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, emphasizing work-life balance while ensuring we are accessible to our clients during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments, providing intensive counseling and psychotherapy services tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Perform comprehensive mental status exams and monitor changes in client behavior and emotional health.
  • Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes meticulously, ensuring compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.
  • Employ de-escalation techniques to manage crises, maintaining an empathetic and calm demeanor in high-stress situations.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, case managers, and medical providers to formulate comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting interventions to best support clients’ therapeutic journeys.
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork by sharing insights and therapeutic strategies with colleagues to enhance overall service quality.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LCSW at Apple Psychological Services, you will directly support a diverse clientele, which includes children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and behavioral disorders. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys, offering support and interventions designed specifically for their unique situations.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • A valid Pennsylvania LCSW licensure, enabling independent practice.
  • Exceptional ability to connect with clients through high levels of empathy and emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated experience executing therapeutic interventions with individuals, couples, or families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical social work experience, particularly in a community health setting.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and culturally competent approaches.

Compensation and Benefits
