Job description

Position Overview
The Analyst / Associate will join Apollo's Infrastructure Group ("AIG") in an asset and portfolio management role to i) support the growth of Apollo Infrastructure Company (AIC), Apollo's flagship evergreen infrastructure vehicle for retail investors ($1.8bn NAV), ii) assist in the development and execution of an evolving asset management strategy, across a diversified portfolio of infrastructure assets, and iii) implement advanced portfolio monitoring tools to support the breadth of our platform.
The AIG team consists of the Apollo Infrastructure Company (AIC), ACT Private Equity (ACTE), Infrastructure Private Equity (AIOF), and ACT Private Credit (ACT Capital). Collectively, the AIG team manages more than $20bn of AUM across various pockets of capital and targets investments across the risk-return spectrum, focused on energy transition, industrial decarbonization, sustainable resource use, sustainable mobility, and infrastructure broadly. AIC focuses on Core / Core+, Value-Add, and Infrastructure Credit opportunities.
On AIC, the Analyst / Associate will utilize financial models to provide robust reporting and analysis to support Portfolio Managers in decision making. This will include financial planning, investment suitability assessments, liquidity management, fundraising, operations, and cross platform initiatives. This analysis requires exceptional modeling skills with keen attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex data into digestible analysis and outputs. The Analyst / Associate will work closely with the investment teams, client and product solutions team, controllers, and other enterprise solutions groups. The Analyst / Associate should be comfortable managing multiple deadlines across different workstreams, be highly organized and be execution-driven.
From an asset management and portfolio monitoring perspective, the Analyst / Associate will be responsible for identifying and enacting process improvements across multiple functions, including valuations, liquidity management, fund financing, and performance reporting. The Analyst / Associate will be expected to think creatively, and develop technology solutions that will streamline day-to-day tasks, create standardize processes across AIG, and equip Portfolio Managers and other senior team members with robust information on all the products and investments within AIG.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the team in all aspects of business strategy and execution for AIC:
    • Building/maintaining robust financial models to forecast performance and liquidity
    • Conducting comprehensive, technical analysis on performance and the portfolio
    • Synthesizing information/analysis on pipeline, liquidity, portfolio, and performance for Portfolio Managers
    • Interacting with key internal and external partners and stakeholders
    • Preparing marketing material for fundraising and other external communication initiatives
  • Identify and implement data/process enhancements to support asset and portfolio management functions

Qualifications & Experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience; investment banking, principal investing, accounting, or consulting experience required
  • Bachelor's degree from a top undergraduate institution (major in business, economics, mathematics, or engineering preferred)
  • Exceptional modelling skills with experience building and maintaining complex, multi-asset financial models; highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to apply corporate finance / accounting concepts to create comprehensive analyses
  • Strong technical skills in data visualization / process automation (ie. PowerBI, Tableau, Claude, Alteryx)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support communication with internal and external counterparties
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and maturity with high level of integrity and discretion
  • Thrives in a rigorous, dynamic, and unpredictable work environment with entrepreneurial and team-oriented culture

Pay Range
$125,000 - $175,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance.
