Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to tailor individualized therapy approaches for each client.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to a diverse clientele, including groups, families, couples, and individuals, enhancing their coping mechanisms and life skills.
• Employ various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy, to meet specific client needs.
• Document clinical progress accurately in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care, enhancing all aspects of client treatment.
• Participate in continuous professional education and workshops, remaining informed on the latest advancements in mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work predominantly with individuals and families who exhibit a variety of mental health conditions such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-related issues, and substance misuse. Many of our clients struggle with accessibility to quality mental health care, providing you with a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical counseling setting, demonstrating effective therapeutic practices and client engagement.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling, including confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering effective rapport with a diverse range of clients.
• Demonstrated ability to function collaboratively within a healthcare team, contributing to shared treatment goals.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and related tools for efficient documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization or advanced training in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse counseling, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
• Experience in community mental health settings, enhancing cultural competence and understanding of socio-economic factors affecting mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

• The salary range for this position is competitive, starting from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, with caseload determined by availability and experience.
