Description:
Apex Microtechnology offers industry-leading innovative precision power analog components used to control current, voltage, and/or speed for applications in the high-reliability industrial, defense, aerospace, medical, and semiconductor capital markets. The Apex product family includes power operational amplifiers (linear amplifiers), pulse width modulation (PWM) amplifiers (Class D switching amplifiers), and precision voltage references.
The Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for revenue growth, design-wins, market exposure and overall management of Direct Sales areas and Apex Manufacturer Reps throughout Apex's Domestic (USA) Territory.
Essential functions and Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities with new and existing accounts.
  • Manage and lead the efforts of independent Manufacturer Representatives to support current- and short-term revenue growth goals.
  • Garner additional sales through customer management, technical sales, and relationship building.
  • Manage, drive, and develop Manufacturer Representatives to support long-term profitable growth through the identification of new opportunities, new markets, and design wins.
  • Frequent customer visits, working closely to tie Apex factory resources to customer design engineers supporting all aspects of sales activities.
  • Communicate new market and product opportunities to product development and marketing teams for use in the development of new products and services using both reporting and CRM tools.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customers' products, markets, supply chains, and business requirements.
  • Timely preparation of a variety of status reports, including forecasting, visit activity, pipeline status, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews with manufacturer representatives.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with Apex management to present territory performance, imperatives, and results.
  • Performs other sales related duties as requested or required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Seeking a highly motivated, results-driven team member with a relentless drive to identify and close new business opportunities, demonstrating persistence, resilience, and a passion for success in competitive markets.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate across all levels, inside and outside of the organization.
  • Strong, energetic presentation skills with the ability to engage and persuade diverse audiences.
  • Relevant experience (account management, senior field sales, or similar).
  • Demonstrated success working with outside sales channels.
  • Experience in selling complex electronic hardware across multiple channels and vertical markets.
  • Experience in leveraging a CRM and utilizing sales platform tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Bachelor's in business, marketing, sales, engineering, or another related field.
  • Ability to travel minimum 50% anticipated.
  • Must be authorized to access export-controlled information and meet the definition of a U.S. Person in accordance with U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Analog/Power Management electronics
  • Proficient in HubSpot tools and Microsoft applications.
  • High ASP product sales experience, typically > $50.00 USD per unit
  • Bachelors in electrical engineering
  • OEM Regional Sales Management experience within the Industrial Systems, Medical Equipment, and/or Military Electronics markets

Work Environment:
  • 50% Office environment
  • Office is in Tucson, AZ
  • Minimum 50% Travel
  • Occasional weekend travel is required
