Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in outpatient settings. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Certified Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visit. Must be willing to rotate to two office locations when coverage is needed.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Provide direct patient care, including preparing patients for examinations and procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Obtain medication prior authorizations.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instruction
  • Perform basic life support (BLS) as required during emergencies.
Skills
  • Proficiency in outpatient care practices and procedures.
  • Experience with medication administration and understanding of pharmacology.
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
  • Knowledge of anatomy to effectively support clinical tasks.
  • Experience with phone triage and reporting results to patients.
