Job description

Eagle Hill School is seeking a Director of AnnualGiving to joinour development and advancement team.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesAnnual Giving Strategy & Execution
  • In collaboration with the Director of Development, implement comprehensive annual giving strategies to increase participation and total dollars raised across all key constituencies.
  • Design and execute multi-channel outreach, including personal, direct mail, email, digital outreach, social media, and volunteer-driven efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development to align annual giving strategy with broader advancement priorities and campaign initiatives.
Participation & Community Engagement
  • Inspire and grow annual giving awareness and participation among current parents, alumni, alumni families, and other community members.
  • Develop targeted segmentation strategies to engage distinct audiences effectively.
  • Partner with faculty, staff, and volunteers to build an engaged culture of philanthropy.
  • Manage and support parent and alumni volunteer efforts in annual giving initiatives.
Communications & Materials
  • Collaborate on the design, messaging, and distribution of annual giving materials and communications.
  • Ensure all messaging clearly articulates the impact of giving and aligns with Eagle Hill’s mission and values.
  • Work closely with communications and marketing to maintain consistency in voice and branding.
Stewardship & Donor Experience
  • Collaborate with development and marketing staff on stewardship efforts, including acknowledgments, impact reporting, and donor recognition.
  • Ensure timely, thoughtful, and personalized donor communications.
  • Develop strategies to deepen donor engagement and strengthen retention year over year.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with the Director of Development and advancement team to support overall fundraising goals.
  • Partner with development staff and other departments to integrate alumni relations, stewardship, and giving into the broader life of the school.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven advancement culture.
Campus Life and Community Engagement
  • Periodically attend evening and weekend events as needed in support of relationship management and development functions.
  • Occasional travel as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of development experience, including direct solicitation and experience in closing gifts, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Possess an authentic interest in philanthropy and supporting Eagle Hill’s mission through fundraising.
  • Collaborative mindset, creativity, and ability to independently manage multiple projects.
  • Strategic thinking and moves-management experience, comfort with persuasive speech, discussing giving and overcoming objections.
  • Ability to initiate and develop relationships with colleagues, external stakeholders, and more.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
