M&A Tax Associate - Transactional Risk - New York, NY

Angove Partners is partnering with an award-winning insurance underwriter, seeking an M&A Tax Associate in New York. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an M&A Tax background.

What is the role?

As a member of the underwriting team on transactional insurance deals, the Tax Associate will handle a variety of workstreams in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The role will be very hands-on and provide in-depth exposure to M&A and corporate transactions. This role is based in New York, NY

What will you be doing?

• Analyzing M&A Tax documents, including due diligence, financial statements and purchase agreements
• Assisting with drafting insurance quotes, binders, and policies
• Directly supporting senior underwriters on live M&A Tax deals
• Managing a consistent pipeline of M&A Tax deal flow
• Engaging and communicating with insurance brokers, lawyers, and accountants
• Attending industry events, networking opportunities and team outing

What do you need to apply to this role?

We anticipate that candidates will have at least 2-6 years of professional work experience within Corporate Tax. A background or education in insurance, or Tax Law is preferred.
