Job description

Role Description

This is a part-time role for a Legal Intern based in Nashville, TN. The Legal Intern will be responsible for managing client onboarding processes, including gathering client information, coordinating initial consultations, and maintaining accurate records. Ideal candidates will have completed 1L course work and be available for in-office work at least 2 days per week. Responsibilities also include responding to client inquiries professionally, assessing potential cases, and ensuring a seamless intake process to support the legal team.



Key Responsibilities

Client Communication & Lead Management

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and website inquiries
  • Conduct structured intake interviews using firm-approved scripts
  • Gather and document relevant case information accurately
  • Identify qualified matters based on firm criteria
  • Schedule consultations for attorneys
  • Send follow-up communications and engagement documentation

Conversion & Revenue Support

  • Follow up with warm leads who have not yet retained
  • Maintain clean and accurate case management data
  • Flag urgent or high-value matters for immediate review

Administrative & Support Duties

  • Coordinate conflict checks
  • Prepare consultation summaries for attorneys
  • Assist with client onboarding documentation
  • Maintain organized intake tracking reports
  • Support office administrative tasks as needed
  • Run errands around Middle TN as needed
  • Assist with attorney scheduling, travel plans, and additional paralegal duties as required


Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in customer-facing office setting
  • Prior law firm experience preferred
  • Strong phone presence and written communication skills
  • Comfortable discussing fees and engagement processes
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Proficient in CRM or case management software
  • Professional, composed, and emotionally intelligent
  • Reliable transportation with Driver's License and car insurance
