Construction Superintendent / Site Supervisor

Location: New York, NY (NYC & Tri-State Area) Sector: High-End Residential & Commercial Fit-Outs

The Role: We are seeking a highly organized and safety-conscious Construction Superintendent to serve as the critical link between project plans and field execution. Our client is looking for a leader who can manage the daily oversight of job sites across the NYC area, ensuring projects are delivered safely and to the highest aesthetic and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Leadership: Lead and coordinate all on-site activities, including the management of subcontractors, vendors, and internal trades.
  • Schedule Management: Monitor daily progress against the master schedule; identify potential bottlenecks and implement real-time solutions.
  • Quality Control: Conduct meticulous inspections to ensure 100% compliance with drawings, client specifications, and NYC building codes.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce rigorous site safety protocols (OSHA/SST), conduct daily "toolbox talks," and maintain a hazard-free environment.
  • Logistics & Documentation: Coordinate material deliveries and equipment staging in dense NYC environments; maintain daily site logs and field reports.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Site Supervisor in NYC.
  • Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret complex architectural plans and MEP/engineering drawings.
  • Skills: Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage diverse trades and high-pressure deadlines.
  • Technology: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or Fieldwire).
