Job description

Founded by Amherst, the full-service real estate solutions platform, Amherst StudioBuilt™ homes is an innovative approach to home development that utilizes offsite construction to create new housing supply at scale without sacrificing quality. StudioBuilt homes are constructed at Amherst's housing studio in Cuero, Texas as well as partner studios across the Southeast and then installed on site. At full capacity, the Cuero facility will create over 250 manufacturing jobs, making Amherst the third largest employer in the area. The StudioBuilt team is comprised of experienced individuals from all trades, working to continuously improve the production process.
We are looking for professionals with a current Plumbing license within Texas. If you possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership traits this is the opportunity for you to get in on the ground floor of a new venture in Modular housing in the CUERO TX factory.
Required
  • Must have Valid Plumbing Texas JMN License
  • Minimum of four years' experience
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings /blueprints etc.
  • Ability to develop training materials and Lead and train manufacturing associates or apprentices

Job Duties:
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with Plant and Safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Leads a team to install all plumbing requirements for our modular homes.
  • Inspect and test and repair as necessary all Plumbing fixtures.
  • Gives constructive feedback to associates on quality of their work.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required duties

Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be exposed to noise, wood products, plastics, lubricants moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (written, verbal and presentation skills) and maintain a professional level of interaction with all members of the company to deliver accurate information.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
