We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at the American Social Work Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand clients' strengths, challenges, and support systems to formulate effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that set clear, achievable objectives, adjusting as necessary to meet client progress.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate integrated care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Work with a treatment team to refine and execute client-centered strategies that foster a supportive and therapeutic environment.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments, creating safety plans when required to safeguard clients’ well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation that adheres to ethical standards and organizational policies, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety disorders, trauma-related challenges, and relationship difficulties. Qualifications
  • Must hold an active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience working directly with clients in a therapeutic setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing therapy for children, adolescents, and families.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions.
