Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting access control, camera, gate operator, and networking systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and service access control systems

  • Install and troubleshoot CCTV / IP camera systems

  • Install and configure networking equipment

  • Install and service gate and barrier arm operators

  • Troubleshoot telephone entry systems

  • Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs

  • Work with manufacturer technical support to resolve system issues

  • Provide professional customer service in the field

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with access control and surveillance systems

  • Experience installing and servicing gate and barrier arm operators

  • Strong networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, switches, PoE)

  • Ability to troubleshoot telephone entry systems

  • Ability to work independently in the field

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

American Knight works with gated communities and businesses that need to control who enters their property. We specialize in installing and servicing access control systems such as barrier arms and swing gate operators. Our team also installs card and fob readers on entrance doors and pedestrian gates, allowing secure access to HOA amenity areas like pools, gyms, and clubhouses.
In addition, we install and service surveillance cameras, license plate readers, and all associated equipment required to create a complete and reliable security and access management system.
