Overview

We are seeking dedicated and skilled medical interpreter(s) to facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong multilingual abilities,and have a solid understanding of medical terminology. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive accurate information regarding their medical care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide interpretation services for patients and healthcare professionals in various medical settings, ensuring clear and accurate communication.
  • Translate medical documents and records as needed, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Assist in the documentation review process to ensure that all patient interactions are accurately recorded.
  • Collaborate with social work and child protective services when necessary to support patient needs.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to convey complex medical information in an understandable manner.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times while interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology and practices to provide the most accurate interpretation services.

Requirements

  • Experience in interpretation within a medical context is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical records management and documentation review processes.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey sensitive information effectively.
  • Previous hospital experience or experience working within healthcare settings is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of social work principles or child protective services can enhance service delivery.
