Job description

Tec Centro, a workforce development training center located in Midtown Harrisburg, is seeking a full-time HVACR Instructor to lead hands-on training in residential and commercial HVACR systems at their newly built facility. The facility delivers hands-on training in high-demand skilled trades, including Facilities Maintenance, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electromechanical systems. Their mission is to prepare adult learners for sustainable, career-track employment.
This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and shaping the next generation of skilled trades professionals. In addition to instruction, you will contribute to curriculum development, program growth, and industry partnerships.

What You'll Do
  • Teach hands-on HVAC training (installation, service, troubleshooting)
  • Work with adult students in a lab + classroom setting
  • Demonstrate real-world HVAC systems (residential & light commercial)
  • Track student progress and provide coaching
  • Maintain a safe, organized training environment
  • Reliable, organized, and professional

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of HVAC experience (service, install, or maintenance)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and safety practices
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly and work with people
  • No teaching experience required - we'll support you

Preferred Qualifications
  • EPA Certification

$60,000 - $75,000 a year
