Role Description The Insurance Agent role at Amco Insurance is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, TX. In this role, the agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their coverage needs, explain policy options, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, following up on inquiries, preparing quotes, processing applications, and managing policy renewals and changes. The agent will respond to client questions, handle basic claims-related guidance, and ensure accurate documentation in company systems. Collaboration with internal teams and carriers to resolve issues, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and achieve sales and service targets is an important part of this position.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance to effectively advise clients and meet performance goals.
  • Experience with Insurance Brokerage and understanding of multiple carriers and products to tailor solutions to client needs.
  • Foundational knowledge of Finance to explain premiums, deductibles, and coverage implications clearly and accurately.
  • Strong Customer Service skills to build trust, handle concerns, and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Relevant state insurance license (or eligibility to obtain within a defined timeframe).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
  • Proficiency with basic office software and CRM or agency management systems.
  • Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, manage a client portfolio, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in insurance or financial services is preferred but not required.
