Position Overview

Alternative Solutions Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health therapist, either as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

This role is based in a fully remote setting, utilizing telehealth technology to deliver therapy to clients. This allows for flexibility in work hours while maintaining high-quality care. You'll utilize modern telehealth platforms ensuring secure communication with your clients, thus contributing to a supportive therapeutic relationship in the comfort of their environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and compassionate assessments of clients' mental health needs to define clinical diagnoses and establish personalized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual, couple, and family therapy sessions employing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities that respect the unique circumstances and goals of each client.
• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention for clients undergoing acute mental health crises, demonstrating exceptional responsiveness and empathy.
• Maintain rigorous and confidential documentation of client progress, including treatment notes and assessments, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage routinely with an interdisciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment pathways, and available community resources, and act as an advocate for their rights and needs.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through continuous training and participation in workshops to stay abreast of best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a therapist at Alternative Solutions Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and experiences, enabling you to apply your skills across multiple demographics. This role provides the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the mental health journeys of clients who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or other emotional and psychological challenges.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a mental health therapist (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in California.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field.
• Strong experience with clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to effectively evaluate clients' needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective nurturing of strong therapeutic relationships.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team-based setting.
• A commitment to ethical practice and professional integrity in all interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, with a preference for those with backgrounds in telehealth or remote counseling.
• Experience working within a clinical setting is advantageous, but entry-level applicants are also encouraged to apply.
