• Manage classroom activities, including lessons, play, breaks, and meals, to create a fun and engaging environment for children.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive community.
• Provide basic needs and tools for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
• Help children reach developmental milestones by adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their unique needs.
• Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans and achieve educational goals.
• Encourage social skills development by facilitating activities that promote interaction among children.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom, adhering to health and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times, ensuring their well-being and safety.
• Track children's progress and report to parents to keep them informed about their child's development.
• Maintain an inventory system for classroom materials and supplies to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for all.

• Level of physical fitness that allows for keeping pace with the activity level of young children.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds.
• Physical ability to sit on the floor or low chair or squat down for 15 minutes at a time
• Abiltiy to walk or stand for an hour at a time.

Previous experience working with children is a big plus!
