Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on each student’s unique needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation, to implement effective interventions.
  • Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure students are meeting their mental health goals.
  • Collaborate with educational staff, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive and integrated care approach, addressing both mental health and educational needs.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and empowering environment for students to discuss their experiences and challenges.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development, staying current with the latest trends and best practices in school-based mental health care.
  • Support medication management by closely monitoring adherence, side effects, and overall effectiveness as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Act as an advocate for students, providing resources and referrals to additional support services as necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on supporting children and adolescents within the school system. You will be working with a diverse student body, including individuals from varying socioeconomic backgrounds and cultural experiences. Your work will empower students to overcome challenges related to anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and other mental health concerns, ultimately fostering a more conducive learning environment.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid LCSW license in the state of New York, allowing you to practice independently.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as an independently licensed therapist, with a focus on serving children and adolescents being highly preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in treating adolescent mental health issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and build rapport with students, families, and educational staff.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
