Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility
- Support meal preparation and maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment
- Implement individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation
- Observe, monitor, and report changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being
- Encourage participation in recreational, social, and community activities
- Collaborate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care
- Maintain a respectful, safe, and supportive environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical job duties
- Successfully pass a background screening
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
