Job description

Job Summary: Maintaining, repairing and building equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced schooling in hydraulics, programmable logic, pneumatics, HVAC, plumbing, electrical repair and electronic repair and troubleshooting
  • Journeyman certificate in maintenance preferred
  • Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience

Critical Success Factors:

  • Excellent attendance
  • Ability to resolve maintenance issues
  • Ability to construct and/or fabricate tables, conveyors, etc.
  • Accuracy of work
  • Ability to read blueprints and to fabricate from the same
  • Uptime of equipment
  • Safety and environmental compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Machine repair
  • Troubleshooting complex electrical and electronic systems
  • Ensure compliance with Federal/ State/ Local safety and environmental regulations
  • Seek ways to reduce waste, manufacturing byproducts, and hazardous raw materials
  • Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in different situations
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations using algebra and trigonometry
  • Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in different situations
  • Competency Level 2 includes all intermediate understanding of the processes and functions as they relate to the position as determined by the leadership team

Working Conditions

  • Working near moving mechanical parts
  • Noisy environment
  • Electrical environment
  • Working on plant floor (PPE required)

Effort/Physical Demands

  • Lifting and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Using hand to finger, finger to finger, handle or feel objects and use hand tools or twist fasteners repetitively for long periods of time
  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management
  • Overtime as required

Health and Safety Responsibilities

    • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company
    • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures

    • Perform other duties as required
