Position Overview
The Supervisor/Shift Leader is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of their assigned shift, ensuring that all aspects of the shift run smoothly and safely. They report directly to the General Manager (GM) and Assistant General Manager (AGM).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Shift Management:
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for each shift.
- Track and report passenger counts for the assigned shift.
- Vehicle Operations:
- Verify that all Pre- and Post-trip inspections are completed in Samsara.
- Conduct a walkaround inspection with at least one operator per shift.
- Identify and document vehicle maintenance issues for the Fleet team.
- Employee Oversight:
- Maintain comprehensive records of employee training and disciplinary actions.
- Prepare and conduct employee evaluations.
- Check all operators' credentials (Drivers license and DOT card) on every shift.
- Training and Compliance:
- Assist in training programs and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are followed by all team members.
- Perform one documented ride-along with an operator daily, offering coaching and training based on observations.
- Operational Monitoring:
- Ensure shuttles operate safely and on time.
- Patrol and monitor the operation for compliance with safety and procedural standards.
- Address traffic congestion or emergencies by liaising with Landside, Ground Transportation, and Police.
- Employee Engagement:
- Implement incentives as outlined in the recognition program.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
