Are you looking for a stable, versatile role that combines hands-on warehouse logistics with occasional commercial driving? Our team in Iron Mountain is looking for a cross-trained Warehouse Associate & Backup Local Delivery Driver to play a pivotal role in our daily operations.

This is a unique dual-function opportunity. For roughly 90% of the year, your main focus will be inside our warehouse"managing inventory, receiving shipments, and preparing customer orders. For the remaining 10% of the year (approximately 3 to 4 weeks total), you will step into the driver's seat of a company straight truck or box truck to run local delivery routes across the Upper Peninsula while covering planned vacation or peak delivery periods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations (90% of role): Safely move, store, and organize industrial and medical gas cylinders and supplies. Receive incoming freight, pull customer orders accurately, and input inventory records using digital software.

  • Backup Delivery Driving (10% of role): Operate company straight and box trucks to deliver compressed gas cylinders to local commercial clients, averaging 5 to 13 stops per day during coverage weeks.

  • Customer Relationship Building: Act as a warm, professional representative of our business when delivering products or supporting clients on-site.

  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to company safety guidelines, commercial vehicle safety rules, and proper hazardous materials handling protocols.

  • Digital Recordkeeping: Utilize handheld digital devices for route navigation, delivery tracking, customer sign-offs, and ongoing safety training modules.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 90 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements

  • Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

  • Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

  • Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift experience
