JOB TITLE: Skilled Machine Maintenance Person

Summary of Position:
Provide the necessary skills to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction, ensuring that all facility functions are carried out in a manner which is safe, and complies with all company, state, and federal mandates. Support operations by ensuring proper, install, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, modifications, building maintenance and execute the preventive maintenance tasks on all equipment, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic experience.
Responsibilities:
· Minimum three to five years’ experience working as maintenance person.
· Follow all OSHA regulations and constantly strive for safety improvements.
· Ensure the operation and maintenance areas are maintained within the established housekeeping and understand 5S standards.
· Provides recommendations on ways to improve efficiencies through the use of new equipment, procedures or techniques.
· Perform all required operations to install, maintain, diagnose problems and make necessary repairs to machines to assure efficient operating condition for maximum availability and production needs: partner with the machine operator or supervisor to test equipment following repair to insure proper operation.
· Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, and defective materials.
· Manage spare parts lists and request parts as needed to repair and respond to preventive maintenance in a timely fashion.
· Ensure all tools and spare are stored away properly and can be properly identified.
· Ensure all lubricants and property labeled and can all be properly identified.
· Uses mechanical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
· Perform all assigned tasks in a safe manner personally & environmentally while keeping work area safe at all times.
· Ability to perform maintenance per manufacturer’s specifications on all plant related equipment.
· Ability to work from prints, sketches, schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, equipment repair manuals and specifications.
· Use a complete range of mechanical hand and power tools including precision measuring devices, instruments, gauges, other electronic test equipment (multimeter).
· Basic knowledge of computers to be able to view manuals and log data.
