A Pilot Plant Technician will be responsible for preparing sample fruit preparations as well as ensuring standards are met in the relevant production and storage areas.

A Pilot Plant Technician will be responsible for preparing sample fruit preparations as well as ensuring standards are met in the relevant production and storage areas.
Key accountabilities:
Pilot Plant Cooking:
- Cook approximately 9 samples of fruit preparations daily according to established procedures
- Adjust cook formulas to specifications detailed on the procedure
- Perform quality testing on customer sample batches: pH and Brix
- Operate, clean and maintain pilot scale equipment as part of daily tasks
- Support the New Product Development Team leaders by reporting any issues concerning materials, equipment and ability to meet objectives
- Participate in internal or cross functional projects as team members
- Maintain accurate records of run conditions; including analytical data, process data, and labeling
Inventory:
- Maintain proper inventory levels to par quantities
- Pull raw materials needed for next day's schedule
Sanitation:
- Perform scheduled sanitation tasks
- Maintain clean, sanitary and safe pilot plant environment ensuring compliance to GMP, GLP, FDA and internal quality standards
Required Skills:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- English Language Fluency with reading, writing, and speaking
- Basic Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and internet navigation, as well as basic data entry skills
- Good interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- SAP experience is a plus
