About the Organization

At Agile Life Physical Therapy, we are an outpatient therapy clinic that emphasizes exceptional service and a proactive approach to therapy. Our team is passionate about supporting our geriatric patients, ensuring that they age in place with dignity and respect. We pride ourselves on our collaborative work environment where every team member's contributions are valued, and where transparency in therapy practices fosters an atmosphere of trust and communication.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in the scenic community of Elko, Nevada, where our therapists provide direct patient care in home settings. Working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, our therapists have the flexibility to manage their schedules while receiving comprehensive support from fellow healthcare professionals. At Agile Life Physical Therapy, we are committed to creating a positive and engaging workplace culture that promotes professional happiness and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled therapy services, including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of various modalities catered specifically to the needs of geriatric patients.
  • Monitor patient progress through regular assessments, maintaining detailed documentation and modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including physicians and occupational and speech therapists—to ensure an integrated care model for our patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for fall prevention and injury risk reduction.
  • Implement preventative programs and safety measures to minimize potential accidents within the community.
  • Stay abreast of the latest physical therapy advancements, participating in continuing education opportunities to enhance personal skills and clinical knowledge.
  • Follow ethical and professional standards to maintain patient confidentiality while providing the highest level of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on geriatric patients, many of whom may be experiencing age-related challenges such as mobility issues, chronic pain, or recovery from surgeries. We strive to provide a supportive and understanding environment where our patients feel empowered to participate actively in their healthcare journey. By offering tailor-made therapy sessions, we help our clients achieve improved mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate).
  • Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Nevada.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMRs) and familiarity with therapy documentation systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective patient and family interactions.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and the latest therapeutic techniques applicable in geriatric care.
  • A commitment to patient-centered care and improving patients' overall quality of life.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in geriatric therapy is preferred; however, new graduates with a passion for this specialty are encouraged to apply.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings options, and potential for continuing education reimbursement.
