Position Summary
Agape Community Health Center, Inc. (Agape), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Mobile Medical Unit Driver to support the delivery of healthcare services directly in the community. This role is responsible for the safe operation, positioning, and basic upkeep of Agape’s mobile medical clinic and plays a critical role in expanding access to care for underserved populations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating a large specialty vehicle in community‑based settings.

Essential Functions
- Safely operate Agape’s mobile medical unit to scheduled service locations in compliance with Florida motor vehicle laws and organizational policy.
- Conduct and document pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections; promptly report mechanical or safety concerns.
- Position, secure, and stabilize the mobile unit at community‑based service sites, accounting for clearance, access, and safety.
- Coordinate routine fueling, cleaning, and basic upkeep of the mobile unit.
- Maintain accurate mileage, inspection, and incident logs.
- Support mobile clinic setup and breakdown as needed.
- Interact professionally with patients, staff, partners, and community members.
- Adhere to all Agape policies, including safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA awareness requirements.

Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid Florida driver’s license appropriate to the vehicle operated with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and community members of varying ages.
- Demonstrated good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel for logs, checklists, or reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months to one year of experience driving large vehicles (bus, box truck, or mobile unit).
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages common to the service area).
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
- Experience supporting patient flow, check‑in logistics, or community health operations under supervision.

Training, Competency, and Evaluation Requirements
- Successful candidates must complete Agape’s mobile unit driving assessment and demonstrate competency in operating the vehicle in community‑based settings prior to independent operation.
- A road test specific to the mobile medical unit is required before unsupervised driving.
- Drivers are subject to annual driving evaluations and ongoing competency reviews in accordance with Agape policy.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the workday.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to safely operate a mobile medical vehicle.
- Ability to hear normal voice sounds and communicate effectively in person and by phone.
