Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigns classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other school areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain floors in pristine condition
• Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a secure environment for everyone on campus
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as reporting larger issues promptly

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in a school, commercial, or industrial setting is preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners effectively
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach when interacting with staff and visitors
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines diligently
